How the QR remote works

Common setups
Solo creator with DSLR
Mount your iPad or laptop as the prompter display below the camera. Use your phone as the remote so you can start takes without stepping forward to press a button.
Presenter with a producer
Your producer or co-host holds the remote on their phone and controls pacing, sends live cues, and handles section jumps while you focus on delivery.
Glass rig setup
The prompter display is inside the glass rig. The remote controls everything from outside the rig without touching the display — essential for professional glass setups.
Two-person interview
One person reads from the prompter while the other controls timing and cue delivery from an off-camera position.

No. The remote runs in any mobile browser. Scan the QR code in Chrome or Safari on your phone and the remote interface loads instantly — no App Store, no Play Store.
Does the remote work over mobile data?
The QR remote uses WebRTC and works best when both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. It may work over mobile data but latency is higher.
How many remote devices can I connect?
One remote device per session. If you need a second operator, they can share the remote device.
Can the remote control voice scroll?
Yes. You can toggle voice scroll on and off from the remote device without touching the main display.
