Quick answer

Embed private notes in your ScrollCue script. They float above the text as overlays, visible only to you, and never appear in camera recordings.

What presenter notes are for

Sometimes you need information near a section of your script that you do not want to read aloud — a statistic, a data point, a reminder to pause, a cue to check a slide. Presenter notes let you embed that information directly in the script without it appearing in the main text flow.

Notes appear as floating overlays when the relevant section is on screen. They disappear as you scroll past. Nothing you put in a presenter note is ever captured by the camera or included in recordings.

Common uses

Statistics and data

Rather than scripting a stat word-for-word and risking misquoting it, add it as a note. You can glance at the exact figure while speaking naturally around it.

Pause reminders

Add [pause 3s] as a note at emotional or significant moments. The reminder appears without being part of the scripted text.

Slide cue markers

Note which slide should be on screen at a given point — useful for webinars and presentations where you are managing both the script and slides.

Names and pronunciations

Add the correct pronunciation of a name or technical term next to where it first appears in the script.
