Free plan available · No download required · No credit card
ScrollCue Pro records video and audio directly in your browser tab. No watermark, no OBS, no upload. Download WebM or MP4 takes individually or all at once.
How recording works
ScrollCue uses the MediaRecorder API built into Chrome. Recording happens entirely in your browser — no files are uploaded to any server. When you stop a take, it saves directly to your device in WebM (default) or MP4.
Each session can hold multiple takes. They are named automatically with the date and time so you can tell them apart at a glance. Download the best one or grab all of them in a single click.
What gets recorded
- Your camera video and microphone audio
- Camera background overlay if enabled
- Screen share if using screen share mode
- No script text — only what your camera sees
- No watermark, no branding, no modification
Output formats
- WebM — best quality, smallest file, works in all editors
- MP4 — wider compatibility for direct upload to YouTube
- Files save directly to your device downloads folder
- No cloud storage, no account needed to retrieve files
Typical recording workflow
Paste your script and set font size
Use 48–56px for webcam at desk distance. Enable voice scroll so you never need to touch speed controls mid-take.
Enable camera access
Click the camera icon and allow access when prompted. Position your camera at eye level. The script should be directly below the lens.
Start recording
Click the record button. A red indicator appears. Begin your delivery — voice scroll tracks your pace automatically.
Stop and review
Click stop when done. The take appears in the takes list with its duration and file size. Watch it back in the browser before deciding to keep it.
Retake if needed
Click record again for a new take. The previous take is saved. Most creators do 2–3 takes per section and download the best one.
Frequently asked questions
Does ScrollCue add a watermark to recordings?
No. Recordings download to your device with no watermark, no branding, and no modification of any kind.
Where are recordings saved?
Directly to your device downloads folder. Nothing is uploaded to any server. ScrollCue never has access to your recordings.
Can I record in MP4?
Yes. WebM is the default because it produces smaller files at equivalent quality, but MP4 is available if you need direct upload compatibility with YouTube or other platforms.
Is there a time limit on recordings?
No. Pro recordings have no time limit. Record a 30-second clip or a 2-hour session — the only limit is your device storage.
Do I need OBS to record?
No. ScrollCue Pro records camera and audio in a single browser tab. OBS is not required and adds no benefit for single-camera talking-head recordings.
